"It's better to die than to not freely proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ."

THE VICE PRESIDENT JUST SAID SILENCING THE GOSPEL IS WORSE THAN DEATH.

This obliterates everything our culture worships:
Safety as ultimate value
Comfort as life's goal
Health as highest good
Survival at any cost

But here's what our death-avoiding society can't comprehend: Christianity has ALWAYS taught this.

"To live is Christ, to die is gain." - Paul
"He who loses his life for my sake will find it." - Jesus
"I can be dead in body and alive in spirit." - Every martyr ever

WHAT'S ACTUALLY WORSE THAN DEATH:
Eternal separation from God
Death of your soul
Spiritual crushing
Living in bondage to fear
Gaining the whole world but losing your soul

For 2,000 years, Christians have chosen:
Lions over lies
Flames over faithlessness
Swords over silence
Death over denial

Why? Not because we have a death wish. Because we have ETERNAL LIFE.

Our culture's obsession with avoiding death at all costs has produced:
Cowardly Christians
Silent saints
Fearful faith
Compromised convictions

We'll do ANYTHING to add days to our life but NOTHING to add life to our eternity.

Here's what's breaking people's brains:
Fitness fanatics realizing perfect health still ends in death
Wealthy elites discovering money can't purchase eternity
Powerful leaders seeing there's authority beyond earth
Comfortable Christians recognizing they're spiritually DEAD

The early church father Polycarp, when threatened with burning at the stake, said: "You threaten me with fire that burns for an hour and is soon quenched, but you know nothing of the fire of eternal judgment."

THAT'S eternal perspective.

Modern American Christianity has forgotten this. We're so desperate to survive that we've forgotten how to LIVE. So afraid of death that we're already dead spiritually.

But here's the VP reminding us of Christianity 101: Physical death is NOT the worst outcome.

What's worse?
Living without purpose
Dying without Christ
Surviving in silence
Existing without eternal hope
Trading your soul for temporary safety

This isn't about being reckless. It's about having RIGHT PRIORITIES.

When you understand eternity:
Temporary suffering becomes bearable
Earthly loss becomes heavenly gain
Physical death loses its sting
Bold faith becomes possible

The question for every comfortable Christian: What temporary loss scares you more than eternal separation from God?

Because if the VP can declare this on national TV, what's stopping you from:
Sharing Jesus at work?
Standing for truth online?
Living boldly for Christ?
Prioritizing eternity over comfort?

Jesus asked: "What good is it to gain the whole world and lose your soul?"

Our culture answers: "At least you survived."
Christianity answers: "Survival without Christ IS death."

It's time American Christians remembered: There are things worse than death. Like living as if this life is all there is.
