I've done a couple of books on this subject. My best know one is: Drawing Faeries: A Believer's Guide," published by Random House. I like to give these magical beings personality, expression and mood. Most artists only draw them full-figure with wings, which is fine. But I believe you should also be able to tell that it's a fairy even in a headshot, so that we don't relying on wings to do all of the heavy lifting. Let's give it a try.
