Defending Their Ice: The Story of the U.S. Women’s National Team Episode Four: A Global Game

One of the fiercest rivalries in all of sports, episode four of Defending Their Ice highlights the unique dynamic between the Women’s National Teams from the United States and Canada. Rivals on the ice, but off the ice, the two teams work together to push the growth of the women’s game forward worldwide. Additionally, as the U.S. Women’s National Team enters the final three games of the 2023-24 Rivalry Series, the coaching staff is forced to reflect and reevaluate before heading to Lake Placid for Women’s World Championship Selection Camp.

Defending Their Ice: The Story of the U.S. Women’s National Team is a trailblazing six-episode docuseries produced by USA Hockey and Righthand. The series showcases the journey of the U.S. Women’s National Ice Hockey Team, including players like Hilary Knight, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Taylor Heise, Megan Keller, Caroline Harvey and Laila Edwards, on the road to the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship and offers a behind-the-curtain look at Team USA throughout the entirety of the 2023-24 season, starting from puck drop on game one of the Rivalry Series all the way to the final whistle of the Women’s World Championship gold medal game.
