CronusMAX Review - Playstation 3 Controller on Xbox One with Forza 5

Testing the CronusMax on Xbox One gameplay using a PS3 controller.

Initial testing reveal that it feels very strange indeed using the PS3 controller on a game that utilises force feedback through the rumble controllers, so to feel absolutely nothing in the way of vibration on a Dualshock 3 pad was really weird and can degrade your gameplay.

However, in performance levels of the device, I could find no negatives and it performed exactly as it is marketed and works perfectly.

The downsides like I state in the video is the sheer lack of feedback a PS3 pad delivers compared to the next gen talent of the Xbox One controller. It would take some adjusting to compensate for this but without doubt the CronusMAX works to specification in this instance. It's also a shame that you must plug in a wired pad to authenticate on the console prior to 'switching' over to another controller like the PS3 controller. This requires you to own the wired (or wireless with USB lead) pad you are effectively swapping out, thus rendering it a little pointless in certain areas. The CronusMAX would be better suited if it could authenticate itself as the original controller in case you don't have one which makes it a much more valuable asset to own.
