Rejection Following Transplantation

This video explains what rejection is, what the signs and symptoms are for each different type of organ transplant, and how rejection is managed.

While rejection of your organ is a complication faced by almost all transplant patients, in the majority of cases, it can be effectively treated. You may experience all of the signs of symptoms when it occurs, or you may not experience any. This is why your team schedules regular blood tests and biopsies; these tests are the only way that your team can be sure about whether rejection is occurring.
