Welcome back for 1 day in the Southwest of COLORADO. This region is known for its mining history, especially in the 1800s for gold and silver. Former mining towns include Telluride, Ouray and Silverton.

Additionally, this part of Colorado is a popular hiking destination. Among its multitude of outstanding lake hikes, we chose to hike the BLUE LAKES TRAIL in the morning up to the Lower Blue Lake, in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness. Other famous day hikes that are worth checking out are the Island Lake in the Ice Lakes Basin, and the Columbine Lake.
