Portland nonprofit Our Streets PDX was formed last summer in the midst of nationwide protests for racial justice. A group of friends went out to Portland's protests, and the graffiti and garbage protesters left behind motivated them create the nonprofit. They picked up trash around the city, took on graffiti cleanup projects and passed out homemade sandwiches to people living on the streets. A year-and-a-half later, the group's mission now has the support of dozens of volunteers along with grants and donations.
