I traveled to Shiraz during the Eid of 1402 and drove around the streets there. The weather was fantastic, with a clear blue sky, and the city was quiet as many people had left for their Nowruz trips.

Shiraz is a city located in the southwest of Iran, known for its rich history, beautiful gardens, and exquisite poetry. It is the capital of Fars Province and one of the oldest cities in Iran. Shiraz is often referred to as the city of poets, literature, and flowers, and it has been a center of Persian culture for over 2,000 years.

One of the most famous attractions in Shiraz is the tomb of the great Persian poet, Hafez, whose poetry is still beloved by many. People from all over the world visit his tomb to pay their respects and experience the tranquility of the surrounding gardens.

Another must-see in Shiraz is the stunning Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque, which is famous for its colorful stained glass windows that create a breathtaking display of light inside the prayer hall.

Shiraz is also home to the ancient Persepolis, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was once the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. The ruins of Persepolis are a testament to the grandeur and sophistication of ancient Persian architecture and art.

The city is also known for its beautiful gardens, such as the Eram Garden and the Afif-Abad Garden, where visitors can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

In addition to its historical and cultural attractions, Shiraz is famous for its delicious cuisine, including dishes like Faloodeh (a cold dessert made with thin vermicelli noodles in a semi-frozen syrup), and traditional Persian kebabs.
