F.A.Q:
Q: What material are you using?
A: I'm using Shannon brand minky.
Q: What are those tools you use to turn things?
A: Hemostats. You can find them on Amazon or Etsy, they're primarily a medical supply tool, but work great for turning things right side out and stuffing. Also reaching tools you drop that are just out of reach.
Q: Why do I have to pay for the pattern?
A: Making patterns is very time consuming and expensive, it can take anywhere from a week to a month or more to create the pattern. I have to sketch up the ideas, create the pattern, create multiple prototypes, tweak the pattern, make more prototypes, repeat as needed. (Keep in mind, most of these prototypes aren't good enough to sell, but I still have to use up materials to create them). Once finished I photograph each step as well as the final products, edit those photos, digitize the pattern, and write the instructions. I either have to pay people or provide some sort of trade to have them help me test the patterns to make sure they work and help catch spelling and grammar errors. I now also pay a graphic designer to do the layout for the pattern, but if I don't pay someone to do it then I have to do it myself. If there is a video like this one, I then have to film myself creating a plush, edit that video, and upload it. (Sometimes I even mess it up or don't capture all that I wanted to and I have to go back and do it all again). All of this is on top of the years I spent learning my craft and learning to use each tool, machine, program, etc, that goes into the process. And ignoring the cost of all those tools, machines, programs, etc. It's not something I feasibly do for free. So if you like my patterns or my videos and you want to see more more, purchasing my patterns helps support my business and keep me creating new stuff for you to create with, too!
Q: What kind of sewing machine is that?
A: It's a Pfaff Performance 5.0
Q: Can I buy the finished plush?
A: You can check my website at www.beezeeart.com to see if I have any in stock, I do sell plushies in addition to sewing patterns, though I don't regularly stock all of my designs.
Q: Do you take commissions for custom plushies or patterns?
A: No, I don't, sorry! But I do have people who own my pattern and do take orders, you can find a list of them here: https://www.facebook.com/BeeZeeArt/ph... (It's a bit empty now, but hopefully more people will add themselves in the future!)
Q: I have a suggestion for your next pattern!
A: Great! I'd love to hear it, just please don't assume that because you suggested it I will create it.
