NPCs: No requirements. However, if you get a Sylveon, and you didn't also get an intimidator (Tauros, Arcanine, or Staraptor) or a Toxapex (Chilling Water), there is a risk of Moonblast debuffing Hydreigon's special attack enough to cause tera blast to become a physical attack, which hits Flutter Mane intolerably hard. this can be mitigated by skipping 1, 2, or even all 3 of the mystical fires, though that carries the risk of Hydreigon's special attack remaining at +2 or higher indefinitely, which will increase the damage you take from Dark Pulse. The safest option is to just check Hydreigon's stats before using Mystical Fire, and don't use it if it's at +0 or lower before the 2nd nasty plot, and don't use it if it's at +1 or lower after the 2nd nasty plot.

Notes: psychic tera is possible but is much riskier. it is critical that you not do too many mystical fires or do them too early, because if hydreigon's special attack stages drop below its attack stages, tera blast becomes a physical attack.

Pros: fantastic special attack stat, excellent special defense stat, outspeeds hydreigon before it uses dragon dance, no type weaknesses, calm mind buffs special attack 1 stage and special defense 1 stage. mystical fire debuffs special attack 1 stage through shield while charging tera orb. wish heals by 50% of max HP at the end of the following turn. stored power has 100 accuracy, and deals supereffective (STAB when terastalized) damage. its base power is 20 + (20 x number of positive stat stages), which is 240 at +5 SpAtk +6 SpDef., stored power gets an additional 1.2x boost due to the stellar tera type. shell bell heals when attacking, an amount equal to 1/8th of damage dealt.

Cons: no STAB on stored power, which also gets a mismatched type shield multiplier of 0.3x rather than the 0.7x it would get with psychic tera, making it much harder to take down the shield (requiring more calm minds), outsped after dragon dance (which introduces a vulnerability to flinches)
