Birds of New Zealand (Vol.18) 2024

Описание к видео Birds of New Zealand (Vol.18) 2024

Today we are going back into the forest where we discovered many bird species of New Zealand. It is a beautiful day with a mystic morning light beaming across a natural forest in New Zealand. Then we found this unique bird in the farm pastures and it is called Spur-winged plover. They are now widespread in a wide range of open habitats throughout New Zealand. They may be found in almost any area with low vegetation, often near water: from the margins of marine and terrestrial wetlands, riverbeds and lake shores to estuaries and beaches, to farm pastures and almost any grassland in urban areas, playing fields, parks or even road verges. It measures from 30 to 37 cm in length and has a wingspan of 75–85 cm, and has a conspicuous yellow spur on the carpal joint of each wing. The birds spend much of the time on the ground, searching for worms and insects to feed on.

It is my earnest hope in producing this video will help bring awareness to the general public about the important of conservation to ensure the survivor of this beautiful bird so that our future generation will be able to see this them in the nature environment.

Let us meet in another time, another week. It is my hope that you have enjoyed you journey with me so far, Please remember to subscribe to my channel so that you will be inform of my new video production as soon as it is uploaded.
