Hi, welcome back to the EaseUS Youtube channel!
Alright, Alex, you’ve got this. How hard can it be to record some audio on Windows 10? (Glances at Buster, show a company pet looking doubtful) You think I’m overthinking this, don’t you?
Alex (laughs): Yeah, okay, let’s see what my options are.
Narrator: So, you want to record audio on Windows 10, huh? Whether it’s for a podcast, capturing some sweet tunes, or just making sure you don’t miss a single word of that important meeting, you’ve got options! Let’s dive into a few methods and see which one suits you best.
Narrator: First up, the "Windows Voice Recorder". It’s free, it’s already on your computer, and it’s as easy as pie.
Alex: Free? Already installed? Now you’re speaking my language!
Step 1. Just type "Voice Recorder" into the search bar and hit enter. Boom, there it is!
Step 2. Now, just press the big microphone button to start recording. Want to pause? Hit the Pause button. Ready to stop? You know what to do—hit Stop.
And just like that, your audio is saved as an .m4a file, ready for whatever you need. Next! Now, if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, let’s check out "Audacity". It’s free, open-source, and perfect for those who want to get fancy with their recordings.
Alex: Fancy? I could use a little fancy.
Step 1. First, make sure your microphone is plugged in. Then, open Audacity and head to "Edit", "Preferences" to tweak your audio settings.
Step 2. Ready? Click that red Record button and start talking—or singing, we don’t judge.
Step 3. When you’re done, hit the yellow Stop button. Need to trim or edit? Audacity’s got you covered. Then just save your masterpiece by choosing "File", "Export."
For those who want a bit more control meet "EaseUS RecExperts". It’s perfect for both newbies and pros alike.
Alex: Alright, EaseUS, impress me!!
Step 1. Fire up RecExperts, and click the "Audio" button—it looks like a speaker. Next, choose "System sound" if you want to capture all those sweet tunes or streaming audio directly from your computer.
Step 2. Hit that red "REC" button to start recording. While you’re recording, you can pause, stop, or adjust the volume—all with just a click.
Step 3. When you’re done, click "Stop," and your recording is ready to go in the pop-up window. You can even edit it right there if you need to!
Alex: Okay, now that was easy—and powerful!!!
Ready to go pro? "Stereo Mix" is here for you, but it does take a bit of setup. Think of it as the “boss level” of audio recording.
Step 1. First, enable Stereo Mix by going to Settings, System, Sound, Sound Control Panel. Under "Recording," find Stereo Mix, right-click, and select "Enable."
Step 2. Now, open any recording software—like the Voice Recorder we used earlier. .Obviously we will open EaseUS software. Select Stereo Mix as your input, and you’re ready to capture all the system sounds on your computer.
Step 3. Hit Record, and let Stereo Mix do its thing. Once you’re done, save your recording and give yourself a pat on the back. You’ve mastered the boss level!
So there you have it—four ways to record audio on Windows 10, from basic to boss level. Whether you’re a casual user or an audio aficionado, you’ve got everything you need to make your recordings sing. Now go forth, and let the world hear your voice!
