[200 Subscribers Special!] Broward County Transit 441 BREEZE Limited-Stop Route (2011 NABI 60-BRT)

Very limited opportunities to get a full recording on this absolute UNIT of a route as it only runs on weekdays. With that said, ladies and gentlemen, Transit Showcase presents Broward County's flagship non-premium route! Although Route 2 may be longer, this ONLY applies to its Northbound variant (27mi) as its Southbound variant (linked here [   • [University Cross-County] BCT Route 2...  ], 25.7 miles) falls short of this route's 25.9. Although both this route and the 2 uses buses from both depots, this route usually receives articulated buses from one of the depots resulting in some pleasant surprises in areas also covered by route 18, a route with no such units. While the US 1 BREEZE is technically faster mainly due to the airport bypass, I consider this route more interesting due to how it acts as an alternative to not 1, but 2 routes!

Of course, the main feature of this route that allows it to cover more distance without exorbitant travel times is the skipping of most stops and only utilizing those at major intersections with either an intersecting crosstown (except Route 8 on Taft St), or just very high ridership. This means more time spent at a constant speed and less time decelerating to, accelerating from, and dwelling at stops, as well as being able to reach higher speeds should traffic allow. On video where stops are cut out (Please, other Transit Youtubers you guys gotta do this more) this manifests as a video that is _ minutes shorter despite covering a slightly longer distance, about the time taken to ___ a ___.
