The Moldovian kaval has five and sometimes six holes and it is frequently used in traditional folk music both in Romania and Moldova. 🇲🇩🇷🇴

Internet says that:
The word 'kaval' comes from Turkish, and means “pipe”. Different variations of the instrument exist in the Balkans, Armenia, Turkey, and the Middle East.

But I found also that

The term caval (or kaval) probably originated from the Arabic root “q-w-l” meaning “to speak.” A modern word derived from this root is “qawwal” which can mean an itinerant musician and singer.
