In the face of rapidly evolving global regulations, OSPOs are uniquely positioned to become strategic enablers of compliance, transparency, collaboration and trust within organizations. From the EU CRA, U.S. Executive Order and India’s recent SEBI regulations, the pressure to demonstrate responsible software reuse and secure supply chains is intensifying across industries.

Within organisations, OSPOs can create the processes to enable and actively encourage collaborating with open source tools to increase ecosystem support, SBOM accuracy, and collaborate with open source communities, open standards to enhance readiness.

More than just compliance gatekeepers, OSPOs are in a unique position to give back to the very ecosystem that powers their innovation. This talk makes the case for OSPOs to collaborate with open source communities and embrace upstream engagement—not just as a goodwill gesture, but as a strategic imperative to future-proof their tooling and stay ahead of regulatory curves.

To ground these concepts in reality, the session will feature a live demo of a reference pipeline using FOSS tools from AboutCode to enable these compliance automation processes within OSPOs.
