So as I stated in the video, this isn't outdoor gear but it is related. I shoot A LOT of video for my channel and while great video is important so is great audio and lighting. I have tested other mics like the Saramonic SR-WM4C wireless setup and Sennheiser wireless mic systems. This particular time I was looking for a broadcast quality condenser mic that I can mount to my camera setup and not have a wireless mic on me while filming at home. Out in the field I will usually be using a wireless setup but here at home it's just not needed.
The VMIC is a great condenser, super-cardioid mic that has a lot of features like a high pass filter and boost and uses 2 AA batteries.It's very easy to use and setup even if you don't have experience.
It also comes with a built in shock suspension mount to reduce noise.
For the price-point of $97 it's definitely worth it in my opinion.
