As someone with curly hair, it's scared to let people touch your hair and most of us with textured hair have a list of awful salon experiences to back up those fears. Ive spent so many years terrified of sitting in the salon chair and having my hair ruined which has previously stopped me from getting to relax and have my hair done every now and then. I also felt like the more I told myself nobody can do my hair, the more I felt embarrassed of my hair? If you get me, you get me! Moral of the story is sometimes you just have to face that anxiety head on and just go for it! I did look up the salon before and I saw they had done curly hair a few times. This ended up being such an amazing experience and i'm so glad more people are learning about curly hair so we can go to the salon and not feel like we have an impossible birds nest of hair to deal with.
