Lord Ghantakarna Mahavir

Mahudi is very old tirtha. It is one of the important mireculas tirth place in jainism. Learned Saint Pujya Acharya Shri Budhdhi Sagarji Maharaj Saheb did PranPratistha of Shri Ghantakarna Dev. Out of the 52 Vir, Shri Ghantakarna is one of them.

This temple is so important that every year millions of Jains and non-Jains visit this place every year.

On Kali Chaudash every year a Havan takes place and more than 200,000 people attande this.

For Kali Chaudas, all roads lead to Shri Ghantakarna Mahavir temple at Mahudi on the outskirts of Gandhinagar. More than one lakh devotees from various communities across Gujarat and outside the state will arrive at the 92-year-old Jain pilgrimage for the annual Kali Chaudas havan on Saturday.

Every year devotees from Maharashtra, MP, UP, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Gujarat flock to the Jain derasar in Mahudi, some 75 km from Ahmedabad city. Many NRIs too come for the annual havan here. Mitranand Sagarji, a Jain muni based in Ahmedabad, said: "On Kali Chaudas, powerful deities are appeased through puja and havan by various communities, including Jains."
