I have always been a fan Of Pantera and when they would hit the Bay Area.
I was always on location, Just like with DIO! I never missed a show.,
Dimebag Darrell always took the time out to do station Id's or a quick interview for My Pirate station.
He was down with the Underground Radio Idea I was involved with.
I started doing some TV stuff and we ended up interviewing Dime and Vinny .
Great Guys, I always ran into Phil Backstage or in the Halls.
Never actually spoke to him , I just nodded when we crossed paths.
Flashback to 2003 Palo Alto? I really didn't know what to expect going in.
I remember going on Phil's tourbus smoking with Phil like WIllie Nelson, then firing up the cameras for an interview.
Phil was cool and an interesting cat. We chatted about Boxing,The state of Music,
Metal and about the cool Vintage Horror Books he scored across the street from the Venue.
