My two bird dogs and I venture into the Chugach Mountains to find a Rock Ptarmigan. Rock Ptarmigan have been the hardest of the 3 species of Ptarmigan in Alaska for me to hunt. My dogs are Large Munsterlanders, they are versatile hunting dogs and we use them for Ptarmigan and duck hunting and they work part time as sled dogs.
