Описание к видео Uneducated Beer Nerds Go For a Pint

First, I'd like to mention that we do not claim to be beer experts. We just happen to like different beers and this is a vlog of us doing what we like: Drinking! Enjoy!

Stan and I decide to start the weekend early and go for a pint at the new Barley's Brewhaus in Leawood, KS. The Lunch begins with New Belgium's PumpKick Fall seasonal pumpkin ale to be followed by some concoction Stan dreamed up that has one third of 75th Street Brewery's Royal Raspberry Wheat ale on top of Tallgrass Brewing's Pub Ale. It was actually very delicious; the tart and sweet of the raspberry didn't overpower the strong ale flavors and was smooth and enjoyable on a rainy humid Friday.
Next up was the St. Vrain by Left Hand Brewing Company. It was a tasty suggestion from Ryan who, just happened to be sitting down the bar from us and just happened to work from Left Hand. It was a smooth and light Belgian tripel with a great combo of fruit and spices as well as some flowery stuff. I'm no expert; I just know the shit was delicious.
My next brew was Great Divide's Hercules double IPA. I'm a big fan of that beer so it was an easy choice with it's deep caramel and nutty flavors backed up with some pretty strong alcohol bite. Yum!
Stan had Lagunita's Lucky 13 in the hole, but apparently Lagunita's changed the beer (and the picture of the girl on the tap handle) by swapping out malts or something. It was still really good, just not what I remember.
I finished off lunch with another New Belgium brew, this time one from their Hop Kitchen series, the French Aramis. It's an IPA, but with the hoppy bitterness pushed WAY behind the citrus, spice and Lipton tea flavors. It had a real "clean" feel and drank super easy.
After lunch, I met up with Ryan again at Tipsy's Liquor in Mission, KS and snagged a bottle of the Wake Up Dead imperial stout (my second favorite brew from Left Hand) and a bottle of wine for my wine-drinking lady. And that was it. Longest, booziest lunch I've had in a long time!

Thanks to Sarah at Barley's Brewhaus for being most excellent, knowledgeable and opinionated. Check them out at: 5031 West 135th Street Leawood, KS 66224 or   / barleysleawood
Thanks to Ryan at Left Hand Brewing for the round of drinks and being good company.
