Hey folks, just posting this for other folks with a bit of the 'tism. I've got a number of rifles with the SureFire Warcomp on them. I'm a left handed shooter but because I let other people shoot my rifles and may need to shoot weak side I want them setup neutral. I recently installed a 3 prong, my previous one was the birdcage type installed by BCM on a pre-made upper.

Suffice to say after looking at this page in the manual and watching some videos from other creators saying their rifle was, "biased for right handed" with the tab at 6 O'Clock I got a bit concerned because I'd gone for neutral and indexed mine to 6 O'Clock because frankly the only way the tines and/or ports are balanced and symmetrical is if the damned index tab for the suppressor and the pin & weld mark are at 6 O'Clock / bottom dead center.

The install manual is HOT GARBAGE. Who in their right mind would make a schematic that breaks the physical association of the muzzle brake holes and the index tab with physical reality of the part?! Well I guess one company would...SureFire. This manual needs to be redone IMHO, it's terribad.

Anyhow if you find yourself in this place just know, yes the manual is hopelessly misleading. If you want Neutral compensation (i.e. straight down resistance to muzzle climb) shim it till the index tab is at about 5:20~5:30 when facing the business end of the rifle and then apply torque to 20~30 lbs/ft until the index is at 6 O'Clock or the center of the comp holes is aligned with the top of your picatinny rail. Of course apply the Rocksett first.

PS - If you ever need to remove it in the future know that Rocksett is removed with steam or hot water, don't just torch your muzzle. Wrap it in a moist towel and hit it with a heat gun or leave it in a bucket of hot water for 30 minutes and it should come off with a little persuasion.
