In this segment we start to use the wide tip on our woodburing pen to draw into what would be the negative space if it where a pen and ink sketch. Instead, we only draw/burn a slightly thicker outline around the interlace ribbon which does not cross over other interlace. This technique is also used when drawing Celtic tattoos as it creates the illusion of 3d. Practice patience and set a slow pace as every step needs to be done correctly.
