NAWIC Queensland Women on Tools run a quarterly Toolbox breakfast which provide a safe environment for tradeswomen, female apprentices, women and girls looking to get a trade to network with each other, meet employers and hear about the latest tools or programs from broader industry stakeholders. Each quarter we are lucky to be hosted by one of these stakeholders and in March 2022 for this year’s International Women's Day breakfast we were privileged to hold the event at the new The Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre (PICAC) (https://www.picac.edu.au/picac-beenleigh)

Guest speakers included the Hon Shannon Fentiman Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Melissa McMahon Member for McAlister and the new Queensland Building and Construction Commissioner Anissa Levy, who spoke about the importance of #breakingthebias and of their own challenges in non-traditional industries.
