Honorable Mention, Humans in Space Art Video Challenge 2014-2015

The Humans in Space Art Program, NASA’s International Space Station Program and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space teamed together to invite college students and early career professionals to take a journey with us. Through the international Humans in Space Art Challenge, we invited them to explore “How will space, science, and technology benefit humanity?” and to express their answers creatively in a video 3 minutes long or less. Video artwork was any style, featuring original animation, sketches, music, live action drama, poetry, dance, Rube Goldberg machines, apps, etc.

​160 artists from 16 countries submitted videos and a jury of celebrity judges from the entertainment industry and astronauts selected the final winning videos. The winners received a monetary award and screening of their video in space on the International Space Station, in Hollywood and at numerous other locations. Additional events are planned for the future.
