Hywel Morgan, Day 1, North West Angling Fair 2023

The North West Angling Fair returned to Strabane on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd April 2023, running each day from 10.30am - 5.0pm.
This is the 6th year this event has been run, and its back in Melvin Sports Complex, Strabane, County Tyrone, which lies on banks of the River Mourne.
Fishing enthusiasts across the North West region had a real treat as one of the top angling fairs returns to Strabane. Bringing together a host of the UK's and Ireland's greatest fly-dressers, casters and top angling specialists to the spectacular setting of the River Mourne in the fishing heart of the North West.
The event was a fantastic occasion for anglers and fishing enthusiasts from across the region. You will have the opportunity to watch the best international fly fishing tackle producers, fly tying brands, fishing outfitters, professional casting demonstrations and expert fly fishing tuition.
Free fly tying and fly-casting lesson with instruction tailored to the specific needs of the beginner through to those who are more advanced.

Unfortunately the river after heavy rain was was in flood so the planned river casting had to be re-located to the Felix McCrossan Pitch.

Needing no introduction Hywel Morgan is one of the best-known fly anglers in Wales.
With strong links to the tackle trade as a consultant, Hywel is a world champion fly caster and a regular at many fishing shows and casing demonstrations around the country. Hywel has also competed for his country on the international competition stage on many, many occasions.
