LA Splash HONEST Review, Swatch, and Smudge Test

LA Splash liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now! These lipsticks come in lip gloss-like bottles . They go on smoothly and are easy to apply with the applicator that it comes with. They dry quickly- in under a minute, and they become completely smudge proof and water proof.

In the video review, you will see me applying each of the 7 colors that my sister and I had purchased together. You will see for yourself how easily it goes on and how quickly it becomes completely smudge proof.

The 7 colors swatched and reviewed on the video are: Charmed, Ghoulish, Nymphadora, Latte Confession, Lady, Raven Claw, and Sirius.

When you purchase 5 or more of the lippies, you get a Shea Butter Lip Couture Remover. The darker colors of LA Splash Lippies are VERY difficult to remove and they stain your mouth and the area around your mouth. I had hoped that this Lip Couture Remover will easily remove the lip colors from my mouth, but as you will see in the video, the result was disappointing. The lighter colors can be easily taken off with makeup remover (I use Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes in the video) but the darker colors are a different story. Other people have recommended rubbing it with oil (olive oil, coconut oil, baby oil) before taking it off.

My final verdict: The only downside of these lippies are that they are almost impossible to take off. But that fact can be overlooked because of their amazing staying power. I love my red lipsticks but I never wear them out because they are high-maintenance. You have to constantly check your teeth to see if they've smeared and reapply them many times throughout the day to maintain its color. But I wore "LADY" for about 5 hours and even had lunch with lots of napkin blotting, and the colors stayed true except for the inner part of my lips. Now I can finally wear darker colors out and not worry about them smudging, smearing, and reapplying!
