Dyson Vacuum DC23 Turbine Head Still Won't Spin - looking for help

UPDATE: I took that thing apart and I can see the little fan part is cracked. This is connected to a axel which connects to a belt that turns the head. The fan moves by use of the air flow which is a cool idea but the fan part is cracked so it is no longer connected to the axel. Contacted Dyson support and since it's out of warranty from 2012, they can only sell me a new head for $100. Really!?! Or 20% off of a new vacuum. They also don't sell this one part. You have to buy the entire head (unlike the powered heads). So I can spend $100 on a replacement part or $400 on a new one that might break with in 5 years. Nope. I'll wait to find someone selling a used part or sell the canister on eBay for $100 and buy another brand.

Need some help with this. We've had this stain for a few years and the floor head (brush bar/turbine head) for carpet and hard floors stopped spinning. I've cleaned it and I can manually spin the brush but when pulling the button thingy on the side to engage the brush (diverts suction I think) nothing happens.
