Day 19 - The End of the Road? - North & back again

Disaster has struck.

Our poor campervan, a veteran of the road, is in trouble.
Over the past couple of weeks we've driven 4, 315 miles from our home in Hoylake, England up to the Arctic Circle and now back down through Sweden.

Apart from a flat tyre in Episode 13 of this series, it's handled the journey without incident of complaint. That is, until now.

After changing the tyre, more warnings start flashing up on the dashboard. Battery not charging. Engine management. None of it is really looking too good.

We manage to get a little advice from a very helpful Swedish mechanic, but the prognosis isn't good. Do we risk breaking down in the middle of the Swedish wilderness, in the hope of the van surviving through to civilisation on the other side?

It's a day of ups and downs (mainly downs) but hopefully our well travelled van can survive...

If you're going to drive an old camper van from England to the Arctic Circle, days like these are to be expected...
