A documentary about the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny South Central India, Salem. From its humble beginnings in Pondicherry in 1827, the Cluny mission in India has steadily blossomed into a vast network of educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and social welfare initiatives, spreading its roots across different states and touching the lives of several individuals.
The province of South Central India, Salem came into existence in the year 2009. The province consists of 20 communities spread in two states of India, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The province has 170 sisters. Education, healthcare, social transformation, and pastoral care form the cornerstones of the Mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny, founded by Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, a woman of extraordinary vision and courage. She continues to inspire and guide their work today.
