Peter Kurz has built over 12 houses using an amazing 22,000 mudbricks. He would spend 2 days abalone diving and then with his 5 days off a week he would spend making mudbricks. He fell in love with the material while travelling a long time ago.

Peter spent over three years, sourcing and recycling the materials needed to construct the incredible three-storey house, including making all of its mudbricks.

Both cost-effective and eco-friendly, the bricks were made using earth and clay from the build site. In what was truly a labour of love, initially Peter used just rainfall water and a driftwood pole to craft each brick. Later he devised a faster method involving a tandem trailer.
