Winnie the German Wirehaired Pointer - 4 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Описание к видео Winnie the German Wirehaired Pointer - 4 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Winnie the Pointer puppy has completed her 4 week residential training holiday

She's a brilliant puppy and her owners had made a great start with her training. They wanted to give her the best start possible and when she arrived at 4 months old, she had a great foundation of training already.

During her training, we worked on Winnie's behaviour in all situations to help her mature into a well-mannered adult. She had a tendency to run off after other dogs who were playing and she found it hard to walk calmly on the lead at times.

Winnie now has a reliable recall and she can come back when playing with other dogs. She has learnt to ignore other dogs when they're playing with tennis balls and will focus on her owners instead. She has better control around dogs, and understands to ignore them when asked, or greet politely and move on.

She has learnt good impulse control and can reliably retrieve and drop a toy. She will leave items like rubbish or food when asked, and ignore leaves flying in the wind! Her lead walking has improved and she can walk calmly on the lead in more distracting environments, as well as settle and lie down quietly when needed.

Winnie is a delightful puppy and her owners have all the skills and training to continue her progress and help her mature into a lovely, well-behaved girl. We'll miss her here but we look forward to seeing how she progresses and grows ❤
