Keynote speaker, Dr. Usama Fayyad demystified what Artificial Intelligence means on an enterprise level and dived into digital transformation and how it requires special considerations beyond digitizing workflows and artifacts. Columbia University’s Professor Ibrahim Odeh, founding director of Global Leaders in Construction Management, joined the conversation to illustrate the AEC industry’s unique environment and the mega technology trends reshaping our industry. Dr. Usama Fayyad is the first person to hold the title ‘Chief Data Officer’ when Yahoo! acquired his startup in 2004. He was Global Chief Officer at Barclays in London and has held leadership roles at Microsoft and NASA. Dr. Fayyad is currently Chairman and CEO of Open Insights, where he focuses on AI, machine learning, BigData, data strategy and new business models for data.
