This is a longer video, but should help dispel some myths around how the MK7 VW PCV system works. It will hopefully help understand why adding a catch can is actually what CAUSES itself to fill up, and really doesn't solve the root problems of the stock MK7 valve.

For reference all testing was done on a "BK" revision PCV on my 2019 GTI.

Parts needed to retrofit the MK8 PCV:
+ 06K-103-210-D PCV Valve Hose (1)
+ 06Q-103-495-B Engine Crankcase Vent Valve (1)
+ 06M-906-094 Bung/sealing cap (1)
+ 3/8in vacuum cap (1)

Note: I had a spare vacuum cap in my toolbox, but you can purchase a small vacuum cap assortment similar to this one on Amazon or at any local auto parts store:
