Solo Hiking in Japans mountainous region of Ome from Okutama (奥多摩) to Mitake (御岳) in order to cross three different mountains: Mt. Nokogiri (鋸山), Mt. Odake(大岳山), and Mt. Mitake (御岳山) within roughly six hours. From one of the peaks, you can see one of the best views of Mt. Fuji.

The journey starts just two hours outside of Tokyo in Okutama. From there, I begin the hike up to the peak of Mt. Nokogiri. On my way up, I encounter two shrines, Atago (愛宕神社) Shrine, Tensei Shrine (天聖神社) and climb around 700 meters.

After a short break, I continue on to the second mountain, Mt. Odake. The hike becomes much easier because there are a lot of flat sections on the trail. I reached the top within an hour and was left speechless by the beautiful scenery, with Mt. Fuji in the distance.

The last part of the hike leads me through a mystical trail passing the Mt. Odake Shrine (大岳神社), the Ayahiro (綾広の滝) and Nanayo (七代の滝) waterfalls, and a river flowing through Rock Garden (御岳岩石園) before arriving at Mt. Mitake, where I sit down under a blooming cherry blossom tree at the Musashi Mitake Shrine (武蔵御嶽神社) to take a final rest before descending down to Mitake station with the Mitake cable car.

This is an amazing day trip from Tokyo for all mountain lovers and people who want to see the beauty of Japans nature hiking trails.
