How do I know if I have a lay flay hose? A lay flat hose does just what it's name says, it lays flat when not in use. It goes by other names such as discharge hose, construction hose, pool discharge hose, pool pump hose, and backwash hose.

You can use this same method to connect your lay flat hose to any barbed connection that fits inside the hose.

Use fittings and connections the same size as the hose to ensure the best fit possible. If you're using a 2" hose, use 2" fittings.
