A little bit of background on these Nether-inspired Pokémon is that after entering The Nether, they become infected with portal energy, giving them the psychic typing. Even when they adapt to their new home, the infection will remain. Every Pokémon has portal energy somewhere in/on its body, like Gimmighoul's eyes and Bellibolt's electrical stomach.
