ASMR Fabric Sounds • Measuring & Inspecting Clothes • No Talking

Описание к видео ASMR Fabric Sounds • Measuring & Inspecting Clothes • No Talking

#asmrfabricsounds
Watch me perform everyday tasks involving 12 different types of fabric. First, an inspection is required of several items of clothing. Threads that stick out need to be removed. Widths and lengths need to be measured 'cause that's what normal people do on a Saturday morning: measure the inside leg length of a random pair of trousers. 🙂

What you'll hear: tape measure sounds, the rustling of different types of fabric, pencil on wood (writing sounds).

I work at the speed the tasks ask for, meaning few sounds are drawn out. Arm movements are kind of normal, not slowed down. Also, this is a tap-free video.

This video was inspired by ‪@FemaleASMR2‬ 's fabulously relaxing video "ASMR Fabric Sounds/Measuring/Folding"

Background story to this video

Touching different types of fabric brings back fond memories. My mom was a seamstress who took me along to many fabric stores in search for the perfect cotton or linen for a new blouse, jacket or dress. She taught me to always test fabric for crease resistance. She taught me how to recognize the right side of a fabric and how to spot the difference between taffeta and silk, between ciselé and ponson. Many a time I rolled my eyes at her teachings. I didn't get it. I was bored. I wanted clothes from the store, not from my mom's sewing machine. 🙂
Notwithstanding my teenage frustrations, there was one thing I always enjoyed during fabric store visits: the opportunity to run my hands along countless colorful fabric rolls. So satisfying.

Creating this video reminded me of those wonderful childhood experiences.
