Keenjhar Jheel is one of the top attractions of the Thatta district. The lake is also known as Kalri Lake in the region. It is located in district Thatta, Sindh. Thatta is 18 km from Karachi and 122 km from Karachi. Keenjhar Lake is one of Pakistan's largest freshwater lakes. It is an indispensable threshold of drinking water for Thatta as well as Karachi city. A Ramsar site, Keenjhar Lake is a natural paradise and a Ramsar site. In the winter season, Keenjhar Lake is a natural habitat for a variety of migratory birds, including ducks, geese, flamingos, cormorants, waders, herons, egrets, ibises, terns, coots, and gulls.

Keenjhar Lake is a captivating tourist destination. This place is frequented by many visitors from Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta to relish themselves with their families. Swimmers, fishermen, and scullers enjoy the lake greatly.
