The Variants | Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 FAQ #4

Colour variants aside, there are just two variants of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and they're easy to spot. The alloy wheel models have the black engine cases. The rest have spoked wheels with tubed tyres and chrome-finished engine cases. To us, the difficulty of keeping the engine cases clean and glossy, plus the hassle of punctures with spoked wheels makes those models very hard to recommend. Obviously, some people with prefer the aesthetics of the spoked-chrome models and that's fine. To live with, the alloy-blacks are just so much simpler and easier that we'd prefer that you bought one of those instead.
