Spas and beauty salons in England were given the green light to re-open on July 13.

But for some larger businesses – comprising hotels, restaurants, pools and gyms – Covid-19 presents some unique challenges.

Ragdale Hall Spa in Leicestershire is one of the UK’s largest luxury spas, and a major employer in Melton Mowbray.

And on August 7 it welcomed guests back for the first time since late March.

Director Hugh Wilson describes what it’s been like to work in a cocooned spa, and what guests can expect that is the same and different.
