Описание к видео Ted Smith Aircraft Company Piper Aerostar N7401S Flight - Lancaster PA to Ft Lauderdale FL Feb 1969

A flight on a then new Ted Smith Aircraft Company (later acquired by Piper) Aerostar from Lancaster, Pennsylvania (LNS) to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (FLL and FXE) in February 1969 heading to the Ted Smith sales meeting (sponsored by Ted Smith Aircraft Company and Bendix Aviation Corporation). The flight departs from the Henry Weber Aircraft Eastern Propjet Sales Service hanger at the airport with footage inside the office Mr. Weber to plan the flight route.
Great footage of the flight including detailed narration and arrival at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Flight time down to Ft. Lauderdale was just over 4 hours and the Aerostar had a cruising speed of 250 MPH at an altitude of 10,000 feet. Footage in Ft. Lauderdale includes a walk around the ramp including a glimpse of a Lockheed Super Constellation parked in the background and a view of a scrapped Boeing 307 Stratoliner. Great close-up footage on the ground. Departing FLL for a quick flight to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) and then return to FLL with great aerial views of the airport before landing once again at FLL. Return trip from FLL with footage taxiing, including aircraft shots and a view of the control tower.
Nice in-flight footage for the return to Lancaster Airport.
