Austin CapMetro, MetroRail Red Line, Southbound, Leander to Downtown Austin, Full Ride, Stadler GTW

Riding CapMetro MetroRail Red Line Southbound (train model: 2008 Stadler GTW) from Leander Texas (full ride) to Downtown Austin. This is the first commuter rail line in Austin. The Red Line is a north/south line that travels between Downtown Austin, The Domain, and Leander.

As of 2023, the full fare to ride this train is $3.50 (one way) or $7.00 (day pass). In addition, the frequency arrivals for this train is around 40-60 minutes and operates Monday through Saturday. Sometimes MetroRail operates on Sunday if there is an special event in Austin (such as the Austin FC, South by Southwest, or other special events). CapMetro is in the process in retrofitting the Red Line by adding more tracks (double-tracks instead of single tracks), and ordering more Stadler GTW trains.
