Momordica charantia also known as bitter melon; bitter apple; bitter gourd; bitter squash; balsam-pear, is a tropical and subtropical vine of the family Cucurbitaceae. It extensively harvested in Asia and Africa for its culinary use. Its many varieties differ substantially in the shape and bitterness of the fruit. Bitter melon originated from the South Indian state of Kerala and was introduced into China in the 14th century. It has many health benefits.

Let’s Make Chicken Bitter Gourd a very special dish in Pakistan.
Ingredients:
Bitter Gourd: 1.5 Kg
Onion: 3 medium sized
Chicken: 1 Kg
Coriander seeds powder: 2Table spoon
Cumin Seeds: 1 Table spoon
Turmeric Powder: 2 Table spoon
Black pepper: 1 Table spoon
Red Chili powder: 2 Table spoon
Table salt: 2 Table spoons
Tomato: 3 pieces Medium sized
Green Chili: 7 pieces
Ginger: 2 pieces cut
Coriander fresh: 4-5 stalk
Mint Leaves fresh: 4-5 stalk
Desi Ghee: 1 cup
Directions:
1. Cut all the fresh ingredients as in Video.
2. Seeds are removed from the inner fibrous part of bitter gourd
3. Fry the oil/desi ghee in a pot and fry the bitter gourd pieces till they become brown
4. Now fry chicken in this oil and cook with small amount of cut onion, tomato, green chili
5. Add the inner fibrous part of bitter gourd
6. Cook for ten minutes and add all spices
7. Add the fry bitter gourd and cook till it becomes tender.
8. Take in a plate and garnish with green chili and coriander leaves
