TRIM, UPPER, LOWER, PROPER, LEFT, RIGHT, MID - Text Functions in MS Excel

Trim : Trim function is used to remove the extra spaces from the start and end of the cell value. This is quite useful when in a column we have the same values and but some of the cells contain the extra spaces.

UPPER : The UPPER function allows us to convert text to all uppercase (All Capital).

LOWER : The LOWER function allows us to convert text to all lowercase (All Small)

PROPER : The PROPER function allows us to convert text to Proper format (First Letter of Each Word Capital)

LEFT function. LEFT function in Excel is used to return the specified number of characters from start of a string.

RIGHT function. RIGHT function in Excel is used to return specified number of characters from the end of string.

MID function. MID function in Excel is used to return the characters from the middle of string by giving starting position and length of characters to return.
