In today's video, we're talking about the recent rise in the number of "Keenlab JB" jailbreaks that were allegedly released for iOS 12.1.3, iOS 12.1.4 and iOS 12.2, with Cydia. After the real Keenlab team (security research group, part of Tencent) have posted their iOS 12.2 Keenlab Jailbreak demo video a few days ago, the YouTube, Twitter and the Google search results were deluged with fake Keenlab jailbreak stuff. Fake Keenlab jailbreaks created by people who try to capitalize on Keenlab's actual real research has been a thing since iOS 10, but it's worth exposing those and debunking them so that the newcomers in the jailbreak community do not fall for them.

The strategy these fake jailbreaks use hasn't changed since the very first of them. It's usually a video or a post which shows a jailbreak for the latest unjailbroken firmware with a name that impersonates a known jailbreak team like Pangu, #Keenlab, Evasi0n and so on. Their "tool" is usually nothing but ads, and I recommend the newcomers in the jailbreak community to never try a jailbreak out unless it comes from real and trusted sources like actual security researchers in our community, or the common iOS and Jailbreak channels (like mine).
