Hello Friends,

After visiting the Vimandeshwar, we headed towards the Dunagiri Temple. Dunagiri is about 15 KM from Dwarahat and is set amongst a dense forest at an altitude of over 8000 feet. It is only around 45 KM from Ranikhet and Kausani and is easily accessible through the road.

It took us a little over an hour to reach the base of the stairs to the Dunagiri temple as we stopped quite a few time on the way to appreciate the dense forest and the snow clad mountains that you get to witness.

Dunagiri is the most famous Maata ka mandir in the Kumaon region and you would find many devotees coming here during the Navratras.
