नमस्कार,

Indian-Style Pomfret Fry Recipe
Ingredients:

2 medium-sized pomfrets (cleaned and gutted)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp rice flour (for crispiness)
2 tbsp semolina (optional, for coating)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Oil for frying


Instructions:

Prepare the Fish:

Wash the pomfrets thoroughly and make shallow slits on both sides to allow the marinade to penetrate.
Marinate:

Mix ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl.
Rub this spice mixture generously on the fish, ensuring it coats well, especially in the slits.
Let the fish marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Coating:

Mix rice flour and semolina (if using) on a plate.
Coat the marinated pomfrets in this mixture for a crispy outer layer.
Fry:

Heat oil in a shallow pan on medium heat.
Place the pomfrets gently in the pan and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Ensure the fish is cooked through but not overcooked to maintain its juiciness.
Garnish and Serve:

Remove the pomfrets and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
Serving Suggestions:
For a complete meal, serve hot with steamed rice, dal, and a side of green chutney or onion salad.
