This video is a tribute to Satyajit Ray, considered to be one of the finest filmmakers in the world is a pride of India. He was a filmmaker, screenwriter, music composer, graphic artist, lyricist, and author, widely regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time.

His films are a testimony for film grammar. His compositions, camera movements, use of light and shade, actors are moving courses on filmmaking.

Some of his most renowned films include Pather Panchali, Aparajito, Apur Sansar, Jalsaghar, Kanchenjungha, Charulata, Nayak, Mahanagar, and Aranyer Din Ratri among many other gems.

In his illustrious career, he has directed 36 films, including feature films, documentaries, and short films. He was also an exceptional fiction writer, publisher, illustrator, and calligrapher. He authored several short stories and novels, meant primarily for young children and teenagers.

Ray received many major awards in his career, including 32 Indian National Film Awards, a Golden Lion, a Golden Bear, 2 Silver Bears, a number of additional awards at international film festivals and award ceremonies, and an Academy Honorary Award in 1992. The Government of India honoured him with the Bharat Ratna, its highest civilian award, in 1992.
