How to Service a Riding Lawnmower - Spring Tune Up

Step by Step!

In today's video, I'll be servicing a Massey Ferguson 2827 Riding Lawnmower.

Because my customer has this machine serviced every Spring, this Massey Ferguson still runs great!

The work we are performing today is called "Preventative Maintenance".

Example: A dirty Air or Fuel filter may allow dirt to go inside of the Carburetor. So changing parts such as the Air Filter & Fuel Filter regularly, will prevent the majority of dirt & debris from going into the Carburetor. This will limit the chances of needing a Carburetor Clean & Rebuild.

Work Completed;

Pre Filter: STENS 055-089 or Kohler 24 083 05 - S

Air Filter: STENS 100-758 or Kohler 24 083 03 - S

Spark Plugs: STENS 130-526 or Champion RC12YC (Gapped at 0.030")

Fuel Filter: STENS 055-113 or Kohler 24 050 13 - S1

Oil Filter: STENS 120-345 or Kohler 52 050 02 - S

1.8L 10w30 Oil

Fuel Shut-off Valve with New Fuel Line Clamps

Mower Deck Clean, Undercoat.

Triple Blade Sharpen & Balance.

Greased Mower Deck Spindles & Steering Spindles.

Inspect Deck/Belts, Check that Switches Function Properly.

Check Air Pressure in Tires.
